"I always thought Wesley was grown in some greenhouse for dandies." Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. We remembered him as the poor excuse for a replacement Watcher in the third season of Buffy. Despite his rather irritating nature, Wesley possessed an underlying charm and humor that instantly caught the writers' attentions. Althought Buffy sent him back to Britain at the end of the season, he resurfaced a few months later as a 'rogue demon hunter' in LA. Once again, poor Wesley was considered a replacement...this time of dearly departed Doyle...and was not exactly welcomed with open arms. However, it was clear that the ex-Watcher had changed for the better, and he became a loyal and invaluable member of Angel Investigations, often taking matters into his own hands. This got him into serious trouble with Angel and he was outcasted for most of the third and fourth season where his guilt turned his personality a murkier gray. However, he has finally returned to the fold and now runs Wolfram & Hart's Mystical Arts Department.
"His heart is in the right place, and he's trying hard. He may not always get it right, but he's a sweet soul." -Alexis of his character Wesley

Interesting Information Alexis was born American, but has lived and worked half his life in the UK. He boasts an extensive background in film and theatre (plus several credits as a fight director), and at one point, even worked with Anthony Stewart Head (Giles on Buffy) in a stage production of Rope. When he finished highschool, he moved to London and attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. When he finished there, he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company and started working in London on the West End. He also did movies all over Europe. Because the title character of Angel is nocturnal, many scenes are shot late at night. On Alexis' first day, David Boreanaz took a Polaroid of him in his chair with his head resting on his hand, sound asleep. Underneath the image David had written: "3:54am, day one, Angel." The photograph now rests on Alexis' mirror at work. Alexis' favorites include ice cream or toast, watching Becker on his telly, the movie Robin and Marian, soccer, world music, and Nirvana (what a surprise from a Seattle boy, eh?). Though he and Hannigan originally met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer during the 1999-2000 season, the two didn't become an item right away. "Actually, I had a crush on him from the moment he showed up on set, and he was the good one who said, 'Not while we're working together...' blah blah blah, whatever," Hannigan once told E! Online. "So we became friends for a couple of years, and I was dating somebody else [Marilyn Manson drummer Ginger Fish], and when that didn't work out, he was on Angel and we just started dating. We had always had a very flirty relationship." He and Alyson were married late in 2003 and was quoted to have said in an interview at The WB's winter press preview that year: "Sorry. She's mine. All mine! Ha ha ha ha!"
