Angel
David Boreanaz
"Oh, who is this hunk of tall, dark and handsome?" The infamous vampire with a soul. The immortal with a mortal's passion. The one with the angelic face. No, not Louis from Interview with a Vampire...Angel! Here is a man who, in order to save and release his son from the pain and misery of their nocturnal world, made a deal with the devil. He is now the CEO of the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram & Hart, the most evil law firm across the dimensions. Though discouraged by his loss, Angel nonetheless continues to be a champion of Good and with the help of his friends, strive towards that light at the end of the tunnel foretold by the Shanshu prophecy: to live again.
"It was clear that Angel was the one character who is bigger than life in the same way that Buffy was. A kind of superhero. And I knew, as the dark, mysterious love interest, that he had the potential to be a breakout character. But I also knew he had the potential to go away after three episodes. But then we found David Boreanaz and he doesn't seem to be able to go away at all." - Joss Whedon on the character Angel

"David is a man in a world full of boys. He's like a rugged, old-fashioned movie star. If this was the '50s, he might have changed his name to Rock." -Marcia Shulman, senior vice-president at 20th Century Fox Television

David's Bio Q:How do you pronounce your last name? A:BO-ree-ah-nas. I'm Italian and Czech. People don't think its Italian because of the "z." Well, it is!
Making his first appearance in Hollywood as Kelly Bundy's biker boyfriend on Married...with Children, David's television credits prior to Angel include a stint on Men Don't Lie and, of course, Buffy. Up until Angel, he had small roles in movies like Best of the Best II and Aspen Extreme. His first starring movie role was 2001's horror flick Valentine opposite Denise Richards and it's success was followed with the romantic comedy I'm With Lucy (2002) opposite Monica Potter and The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2004) with Edward Furlong, Tara Reid and Dennis Hopper. It is perhaps his theatre work that is the most detailed, having appeared in the productions Hateful of Rain, Italian-American Reconciliation, Fool for Love, and Cowboy Mouth. David's other credits include the voice of Squall "Leon" Leonhart in the cult-hit video game Kingdom Hearts, hosting Mad TV, presenting at the 2001 NHL Awards and 28th Annual American Music Awards. He recently took a stab at directing with the episode Soul Purpose on the fifth season of Angel.
One of David's dogs, Bertha Blue (named after his favorite Grateful Dead Song), is responsible for David's success. While taking her for a walk in the park, a manager spotted him, dug his brooding and myterious look, and signed him on the spot. He started filming for Buffy the Vampire Slayer the very next day. The son of Philadelphia's news weatherman Dave Roberts, David Jr. is currently married to actress and former playboy bunny of the month (January 1999) Jaime Bergman whom he has a son with (Jaden Rayne, 2002).
Interesting Info Fearless: For a 6"1 vampire, nothing much can scare him. But in real life, David can get really spooked. "I'm not afraid of the dark, but I'm really afraid of birds," David admitted. "When a bird gets into your house, its supposed to be bad luck."
I've never been able to: See a great white shark close up.
I'd give anything to meet: Bette Davis in a diner.
The worst time in my life: The six months I spent parking cars in Los Angeles when I was trying to get into show business.
If I weren't an actor, I'd be: An architect.
My dream role is: Spiderman
If I've learned anything, its: Always smile. (He's got perfect teeth ever since childhood)
The three words that best describe me: Dashing, passionate, and daring.
